Even Monkeys Fall From Trees Japanese Lettering

This lettering project was developed around the saying ‘猿も木から落ちる’ directly translated as ‘even monkeys fall from trees’. This saying alludes to the fact that everyone makes mistakes. With my design I use playful type and illustration to show the characteristics of the different strokes and display the type in a whimsical manner.
