Amy Lowe is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. She has worked with various small businesses and design teams around the islands and beyond consistently developing her skills in the industry for over 10 years.

Recently she also founded Haru Baby, a small baby clothing brand and does all of the illustration and design inspired by her 2 year old son.

“I was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai‘i and grew up in a predominantly Japanese household. I speak fluent English and Japanese and have strong connections to both my local Hawaiian and Japanese roots. These cultural connections inform my eye for design and give me a unique outlook over typical design media. 

In school, I was fortunate to have editorial work experience from working at Ka Leo O Hawai‘i since 2015 and and acted as the Creative Director from around 2019-2022. This experience led to my love for both editorial design/typography as well as illustration graphics that blossomed while working with amazing teams at many local businesses like Hawaii Business Magazine and Local Motion Hawaii.”
